Matthias Hormuth has held various management positions for 23 years at the PTV Group, the Karlsruhe-based software and consulting company in the field of transport and traffic.

After joining PTV Consult GmbH as a consultant for innovative Research&Development projects in the field of transport logistics and telematics, he initially took over as head of the Research division at PTV AG.

After six years, he moved to the commercial areas of the company as head of a new business unit for E-Logistics, initially as head of a new business unit, in the meantime he was responsible for Product Management Logistics for several years and subsequently assumed responsibility for the Professional Services unit. The focus in all areas of the project was on tasks relating to regional and depot planning, route planning and optimization, as well as fleet control/telematics, always with reference to specific fields of application and projects in transport logistics practice.

As Solution Director Solution Management Logistics, he has been responsible for the implementation of new solutions and services as well as the further development of the existing product portfolio in the field of transport logistics for 4 years. In addition, he and his team support the establishment and development of additional sales territories on a global level.

Matthias Hormuth is 48 years old and holds a degree in industrial engineering from the University of Karlsruhe (K. I. T.). He is a member of the BVL, represents the PTV Group in several working groups of BITKOM and is a member of the transport committee of the Chamber of Commerce Karlsruhe.
